Alumina Daily Review-May.07th

2026-05-07

Except for Guinea, all bauxite-supplying countries are systematically increasing supply volumes and improving efficiency while reducing costs. For China, this currently has little impact on its high dependence on Guinea ore, but it provides a physical possibility for long-term diversified procurement. Guinea’s ore export policy remains a key focus of the market. Once the policy is implemented, the anticipated mismatch will have a short-term impact on trading sentiment, but the impact on ore supply and normal domestic alumina production will be dynamic and long-term; no sudden changes are anticipated at this time.
